Fire Safety Week at school!

Aren't these the cutest little firemen you've ever seen! We had fire safety week at school complete with real fire men, a real fire engine, and a demonstration from the firefighters. The pics are Kaden, James, and Joshua in fireman gear, the firefighter with his mask on and Kaden, Kinsley with her class on the fire truck, and Kaden with his class on the fire truck.

A Night with Rob Bell

This guy is really one of the coolest guys I've ever met. We went to see him at Nokia Theater for his "The Gods Aren't Angry" tour. He is so smart and so intellectual! Some of the things he said this time were things to think about but he kept repeating the gist of it all - "you don't have to live like this". Meaning, you don't have to live without Christ in your life. He is waiting for you with open arms to accept Him and thus start a never-ending relationship with Him. He also said that we fill our lives with so much that sometimes we forget to just "be" there. I do this a lot with my kids. I fill up my days with working, cleaning, emailing, calling, getting ready for the next day, etc. I need to remember to just "be". To be with my kids and be present with them, in the moment, fully involved in their lives. And most importantly I need to just "be" with my Lord and Savior, fully present with Him as well, when I'm reading His word, or talking to Him in prayer. So therefore I encourage you all to just "be" as well. And...if you haven't picked up Rob Bell's books Velvet Elvis or Sex God go out and get them RIGHT NOW! They will make you think not to mention be great conversation starters because of the titles:)

Thanksgiving Feast at New Creation Preschool!

Before school let out for Thanksgiving this year we had a wonderful Thanksgiving feast at school. Ms. Vicki came up with the idea to lay all the food out in the shape of a turkey! The kids LOVED it! They all dressed up like Pilgrims and Indians and enjoyed eating and eating and eating! Kinsley especially loved the desserts and Kaden just took it all in with a huge grin on his face all day! Both my kiddos were Indians. Kaden says his name was "Super Hero Bear" and Kinsley's Indian name was "Jumping Kinsley" hmmmm:) We love our school and all the fun activities we get to do there!

Sleeping Beauty

It's not very often that you say someone sleeps "pretty". But my sweet baby girl is the prettiest sleeper I've ever seen. Curtis and I often just stare at her while she sleeps. She makes absolutely no sounds and just looks so angelic and peaceful! Most nights she comes in our room and crawls in bed with us, and as much as I always said my kids would not sleep in our bed, it's hard to resist when they are this precious! Just thought we'd share the view with all of you! What a blessing she is!

Visiting Great Grandparents!

Curtis, Kaden, Kinsley, and I all went to Oklahoma for a weekend to visit Curtis's grandmothers. It was a much needed visit and we LOVED being with them. We had the chance to interview Grandma Betty and there were so many interesting stories of God's provision in her life - from houses, to dresses, to businesses, etc. I could have sat and listened to her all day! That evening we had dinner with Grandma Evelyn, Leon and Joann at Super Salad and then watched the OU game back at Southern Plaza, where Betty lives. Kaden and Kinsley had a wonderful time watching Leon do magic tricks (the quarter out of your ear one:)) and reading books and getting piggy back rides from their great grandmothers! We want to do this more often, these women are such blessings in our lives!

10 Year Reunion - Wow!

These are pics from my 10 year high school reunion. Curtis and I went and had a blast with all my best friends from way back when! The first pic is of me, Mande, and Heather. The second pic is my best friend Mandy and her hubby Jason. The third pic is my three best cheerleading friends Karin, Mandy, Jennifer, and me. Finally, the fourth pic is me and my best bud Mandy! Everyone pretty much still looked the same and it was CRAZY to talk jobs, kids, etc. with everyone! I love you guys!!!! It was fun! Can't wait for the next one!
