Kaden and Kinsley had a school friend's b-day party at our favorite park this weekend. They had a blast and it was nice to be outside on such a pretty day!

Here are some shots of the kids playing in sprinklers at the house, and then by the Cowgirl Museum in Fort Worth this past weekend. We had a wonderful Saturday with the Silcox's going to museum's and the IMAX and playing in the water - thanks for the invite guys!

Back to Preschool - New Creation - The Met 2008-2009

So we FINALLY started back to school this last week at New Creation Preschool at our church - The Met. Everyone was so excited to start in our new and beautiful building. Both Kaden and Kinsley have WONDERFUL teachers this year and I could not be more thrilled about it! I had prayed over their teachers all summer and God could not have blessed us more this year! Here's pics of both of them on the first day, and one of Kaden with his teachers - my two very best friends ever - Angie and Misty! Check back for Kinsley's teacher pics, it was such a busy day I guess I missed gettting theirs - they are Marcie and Cheri and are as equally as WONDERFUL!

A New Church Home

We started church at our new building today and I am just feeling incredibly thankful at the moment! They had testimonies as part of the service today and despite making me cry they were incredible! It was amazing to see how God has used our church, and the members there to touch people's lives in awesome ways. There were stories of people addicted to drugs, that are now addicted to God, people cured of cancer, others blessed with children after years of infertility, etc. So...I just want to say.... and I know he hears me just through my thoughts and I don't have to blog about it...but THANK YOU GOD! Thanks for helping us to find an amazing church with amazing people living their lives as servants of you!

I was humbled today by Pastor Bill's message for us to be like "open houses" and inviting and sharing God with all those we come in contact with. Our new building was already completely full of people today and we haven't even advertised to the public yet. PRAISE GOD! While this may seem like a problem to some, I count it as a blessing, just knowing that we are packing people in every Sunday and filling them with God's word, so that hopefully, all those people, then go out into our community and share it with others! Total wake up call to me that as excited as I am about our new facilities, I need to be that excited to go out and invite people to join me there, and thus...more important than the building itself, come to find a relationship with Christ!

So thank you God for a wonderful Sunday, for people that serve you, and for all I know you will do through the lives of the people in our church! We are blessed!

Go OU!

Curtis took Kaden to his first "real" OU game last Saturday! We've been to the Red and White games before but this was Kaden's first "real" one!
Here they are suited up and ready to go!
The Sooner Schooner
Kaden petting "Boomer", or is it "Sooner"?
Posing with a foam finger and a Roughnek!
OU is number 1!
Now...when is the next A&M game? Ha ha, love ya Curt!

What We've Been Up To!

Kaden and Kinsley both went for haircuts at Cool Cuts and received these cute stickers and a lollipop for a reward! A lady named Sharon there is awesome! We also bought this gel that smells like cookie dough that they love to put in their hair!

Our make-shift "tent" outside on a beautiful day. We played with this parachute, then made it into a tent and read books on the blanket underneath, who know parachutes were so multi-functional!
Reading under the "tent"!

Is there a future model in our midst? Ha ha!

Labor Day Weekend at the Beach and Waterslide

This past weekend we went to Galveston for Labor Day...well...thanks to Gustav our trip got cancelled a little earlier than it otherwise would have. So...we drove 7 hours down to Port Bolivar, had a wonderfully fun day, and then drove 10 hours back in the evacuation traffic. Oh, well SATURDAY was a BLAST!

Here's where all the memories were made - My parents beach house!
We took a trip to the waterslide - this is a tradition that dates waaayyy back! Seriously, I think this place was built before I was born!
Me and Kinsley going down the slide - she's not too thrilled:)
