Super Bowl 2010

Here's some things you might find going on during the Super Bowl around our house! Kai Kai getting a bath!!!

Our good friends Mande and Brent with their girls, Eisley and Ashtyn enjoying the game!

Curtis and my dad front and center in front of the TV!!!

John, my bro-in-law chiming in:)!

Three cute boys - Josiah, Kaden, and Isaiah, playing Wii upstairs

Two cute girls, Ashtyn and Kinsley playing Nintendo DS

And me, Kai, mom, and Jae just enjoying ourselves and everyone's company!

Oh yeah, and GO SAINTS!!!! Whoooo HOOOO!

Daddy/Daughter Dance and Date with Kaden!

Kinsley had a fabulous date with her daddy this past Saturday at our community's Daddy/Daughter dance!
They host this every year and its a special day for little girls to have one on one time with their dads, enjoy themselves, get pampered, and dance the night away! She woke up early this morning and the first thing out of her mouth was, "Is today the Daddy/Daughter Dance?" and "When do I get to go get my hair done?"

Sooooo...we went to this little place offering "glittery up-dos" and...

Got her

HAIR

DONE!!!!!!

Then we came home to do her mani/pedi:) She picked glittery purple/silver to match her dress, of course!

And off they went, a princess and her hero!!!! She had a blast and Curtis said she was "giddy" the whole time!!!

Oh, and I took advantage of the situation and had a date with this handsome fella! We went to see The Tooth Fairy at the movies, and then to Wendy's for a Frosty! He said on our way home that, "This was the best night ever!!!" How precious!!!

Date Night!!!!

This past Friday Curtis and I had a date night!!! We went to the Colleyville Movie Grill and saw When in Rome! It was an adorable movie and we had a blast! I love dates with my hubby, and feeling like a teenager again! I love this man!!! He is my favorite and forever Valentine:)!

Valentine Goodies!!!!

Are you ready? Today is February 1st, and marks the countdown, only 13 more days left to show those you love just how much you love them. Not that we should only show them on this day, but it's a good day to make a big deal of it, and make it special don'tcha think? Here's one of my fave Valentine's Day decorations - it sits above my fireplace!

You might recognize this basket from Christmas with the pinecones (it had christmas balls in it), I like to change it up a little for Valentine's so I just added a few heart shaped candle holders:)

Here's a cute little girl, in one of her cute little Valentine's Day outfits - Curtis is taking her to a Daddy/Daughter Dance in a few days, more to come on that - she's THRILLED!

Another one of my fave Valentines Day decorations, my X's and O's serving dishes - I think I won this playing Bunko (love that game) - they are from Pottery Barn I think!

Valentine Box #1 - more to come on this later:)

Some sweet Valentine's for some sweeties!

Some cute Valentines for some cuties!

Some yummy Valentines for...some people I love!

We've also been working hard on these - they are actually crayons melted down into the shape of hearts - they make me giddy!!! I think they are turning out sooooo cute!

Seriously, I could make these for days and give them to everyone I know!!! Aren't they adorable?! They just brighten my world - heh heh!!!

Let me know your GRAND plans for Valentines Day! Here's what's to come:

*Date night with Hubby - SOOOO many good romantic movies out right now!
*Daddy/Daughter Dance
*School Valentine Parties
*Valentine's with the Fam - my big sis and family are coming in town - I can't wait!
*Valentine gifts revealed!
*Valentines Secret Pal

Done!

So here's the finished product of a painting I did for my wonderful friend and photographer Linsey! I hope she LOVES it! I took these pics tonight, might need to do another one during the day! This one's with the flash!

And this one is without the flash, will try again in more natural light tomorrow!

Kaden's Harlem Globetrotters Basketball Performance

This is the day we've been waiting for in Kaden's PIPS. PIPS stands for Players in Progress, and is a basketball drill program that teaches the fundamentals of basketball along with character skills/self esteem! Kaden has had a BLAST doing this along with Curtis as one of the coaches!!! Saturday, he got to perform before the Harlem Globetrotters game at American Airlines Center. I'm so glad he got to do this, this is something we've always wanted to go to but had just never done! It was SUPER fun - and a great family outing!!!!
Here he is performing!

Grandaddy, Uncle John, and Kai came too!!!

Kinsley, little Miss Independent, sat in front of all of us by herself!

Kaden and Coach Curtis after the performance!

Aunt Jae, me, and Grammy!

Globie, the Globetrotters mascot, and game MC - sooo funny - dressed up like Taylor Swift here!

One of the players graciously stopped to sign an autograph after the game!

Here's a little snippet of the performance! This was taken on my camera, so its not too clear, Kaden is to the left in the back of that line:)

Kaden's Rodeo Day

So Friday was Kaden's turn and he had Rodeo Day at school. Don't you dare call it Western Day...you'll be corrected, I tell ya! Here's my cute little cowboy all ready for the big day! Recognize the hat - hee hee?!

Here he is waiting to ride:)

Yeehaw, yeehaw there little cowboy - ya know, they wear their bandanas like this to keep the dust off when they're ridin' - and to hide their identity if they are the bad guys!

Ride cowboy, RIDE!!!

Get along little doggies, that's some good ridin'!
