A fun lunch date and a lazy Sunday afternoon!

Mom, Jae, and I have decided to start meeting weekly just to get together and "be" together.  We kicked it off this last week by meeting for lunch at Sweet Tomato - if you haven't been there, it's like a Souper Salad on steroids - yummy!  The kids had a blast picking out their own food - I let them choose what they wanted from the buffet, and you would of thought it was the best thing in the world.  They said over and over how much fun it was to "make" their own food.  We had a wonderful time visiting and we all can't wait until next week!

The other pics in this post were from a random lazy Sunday afternoon in Southlake Town Square!

Kinsley's Fourth Birthday Barnyard Bash!

Kinsley had her fourth birthday party a couple of weeks ago, and the sweet little thing wanted a "barn" party.  So...it was supposed to be at the park under a covered pavilion, but it was rained out, not just a little rained out, we're talking a down pour here.  The ONLY day out of the last two weeks Mother Nature decided to bless us with rain, mind you.  So...we went for plan B and had it at our house!  A little crowded but still just as fun!  And being the precious girl that she is, not one complaint!  These pics are out of order, but work with me here folks!  Brace yourselves, this is a long one!

Afterwards we went to eat at Casa Rita's - it's actually pretty yummy despite John's face here:)

Kinsley is FOUR!!!!

Kinsley had her real birthday on Tuesday.  She had school that day so she decided to celebrate by taking powdered donuts instead of cookies or cake.  She got to pick and that's what she wanted!  After school our good friend Misty invited us over to her neighborhood pool for a swim - our first swim of the summer - Kaden and Kinsley were both so incredibly excited!  After swimming we came home for Kinsley's favorite dinner - I asked her what she wanted, and told her she could have whatever since it was her birthday, guess what she picked...macaroni and cheese!!!!

Here she is enjoying her dinner!

Mother's Day 2009

I had a fabulous Mother's Day this year.  Curtis and the kids made me a delicious breakfast and Curtis got the kids ready for church.  Church was great with a nice message, and then we went to lunch at mom and dad's.  Jae, John, Kai, and Gwen all came and we had a yummy lunch, that the boys prepared, and a fun , relaxing visit!

Here's the family out on mom and dad's deck!

Date Night

Our church just started this great new thing called "Date Night".  We drop our kiddos off at the church, go on a date, and come back to eat dessert, watch a marriage building video, and pick up the kids.  We had a blast with our friends the Silcox's and the Garrett's.  We chose to eat at Cheddars and had a wonderful time talking, laughing, and being with our friends!
