It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like CHRISTmas!

Christmas really is my favorite time of year, and..it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around our house this weekend!

First we set up our nativity!
Then Curtis and I put up lights - okay mostly Curtis, but I did hand him the clips:)

I've been wanting to do this for years!  Isn't it beautiful?!  Thanks hon!
We also bought and decorated our tree - a real one - smells great!  Here's Kaden putting the star on!
And just for fun...our dining room decor!

Service Projects and Christmas Decorating

I'm so proud of Kaden and Kinsley!  They both participated in their first service project at our church for kiddos at Cook Children's hospital.  They worked so hard to put together up to 1,000 bags full of fun items for kids that might end up in the emergency room over the holidays.  I love that they are blessed to go to a church where this is taught early and often!

Here's Kaden in front of all the bags!
Here's Kinsley delivering her bags!
Then...while Kaden and Curtis cheered on the Sooners, Kinsley and I went to mom and dad's to help them decorate for Christmas.  Here's me helping hang ornaments on their HUGE tree.
And here's Kinsley helping hang ornaments where she could reach!

Two Thanksgiving Feasts

To kick off Thanksgiving this year we had two wonderful feasts.  The first at New Creation Preschool with 120 other little precious kiddos.  And the second at Bluebonnet, Kaden's school.  Both were so much fun and it was great to see the kids faces light up as they showed me the Thanksgiving projects they made and ate by their friends!  In their own words - Kaden is thankful for me (promise I didn't pay him to say this:)), his family, friends, toys, and his cousins!  Kinsley is thankful for pancakes, TV's, art things like her two paintings, and her brother!

Wonderful Wednesdays - Happy Fall!

I took advantage of the beautiful fall weather today and decided to have a photo shoot in the freshly raked leaves the neighbors raked over to our yard! I thought these pics turned out pretty cute!

At This Very Moment - This is what we are doing...

It's a beautiful day outside today and we are enjoying every last minute of it. I hear a cold front is coming later this week! Right now the kiddos are outside playing in the water table, painting with watercolors and riding Kinsley's tricycle! These "at this very moment" blogs are for family far away to give them a little glimpse into our day - hope you enjoy! Take time yourself to get outside and enjoy the day!

Busy Halloween Day

We had a busy but fun-filled Halloween Day. First, Kaden got to dress up as a storybook character at school AND it was his teacher's (Mrs. Beasley's) birthday party! We suprised the class with cookies and juice and suprised Mrs. Beasley with a poster, cards, and gifts from the kids.

Pirate Kaden at school - guess his book???
Then it was Jack-O-Lantern pizza for lunch - from Papa Murphy's!
Then on to Trunk or Treat at church - a family of "Things" from Dr. Suess's The Cat in the Hat:)
Here we are at our trunk - our games were "Put the Cat in the Hat" and "Ring the Gack"!
Me, Misty, Angie and Adam at our trunk.
We're so glad Grammy was able to come for a while!!! This was taken after Kaden's sign fell off:)
Posing with Kaden's fave trunk!
Playing M&M tic tac toeBaby Thing playing basketball - Curt said we should've called her "Little Miss Thing" ha ha!

Orange Ya Glad Jesus Loves You Fall Festival

Our annual "Orange Ya Glad Jesus Loves You" Fall Festival was a blast this year! We decided to let kiddos choose to wear orange or dress up! There were tons of games such as fishing for candy, pumpkin painting, tatoos, the duck pond game, lollipop tree, etc.
Here's Princess Kinsley painting a pumpkin!
Mrs. Angie, Mrs. Misty and Batman (Kaden)
Apple pickers - Marcie and Cheri - Kinsley's class are the "Awesome Apples" from the verse "You are the apple of His (God's) eye".
Me and Kaden by the pumpkin toss game!

F is for Fall and Football!

I have to admit that for a long time I have griped about football season and how it takes my hubby away for a few months every fall. The last few years I have decided to give up the fight and let it go...and maybe even enjoy watching bits and pieces of some games with him. But...nothing is more precious to me than my boys being "boys". Kaden just started flag football, and up to this point I have been to EVERY practice and will be sure to be at EVERY game! What can I say - he might convert me to a huge fan after all:)
